The IYFFL is a unique film festival for young filmmakers between 14 and 26 years from Norway and all over the world. The film festival in Langesund, Southern Norway, wants to support young film and tv newcomers. The 2nd edition of the IYFFL will be held 7th to 11th of June 2016.

Thanks to the huge amount of film submissions from young filmmakers worldwide we screen this year even more films than last year - 73 films from 25 countries. All films are exceptional and made by award-winning filmmakers 14-26 years of age. We screen their amazing films that have been screened at film festivals including e.g. the Festival de Cannes, British Film Institute Future Film Festival or Sundance Festival. The IYFFL 2016 is aimed for the film industry as well as for the broad public. Notice: the film screenings are open for everybody!

Our "International Youth Film Festival Langesund" is a film event and very important platform for young people as film and video is the strongest medium nowadays. We believe 14 to 26 years old film enthusiasts should have a place to express their voice and be heard as strong as this medium is. We also believe that some of you would like to optimize your skills and maybe be a professional filmmaker later on. Therefore we offer our different workshops held by well known filmmakers from the international TV and Film industry. And most important build up your network around the world!
